Ken Healy

Research Fellow, Platform Hardware at Oxford Nanopore Technologies

Ken Healy has a strong background in research and academia. Ken started their career as a Postdoctoral researcher at University College Cork, Ireland (UCC) in 2006, and then went on to work as a Postdoctoral researcher at UC Irvine from 2009 to 2011. Ken then joined the University College Cork, Ireland (UCC) again as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, Ken joined Oxford Nanopore Technologies as a Principal Scientist and later transitioned into the role of Research Fellow, Platform Hardware. Prior to their work at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, they were also a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2012.

Ken Healy completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University College Cork from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a PhD in Nanopore-based DNA analysis at the same university from 2002 to 2006.
