海王 has extensive work experience in the field of biotechnology and genomics. From 2018 onwards, they have been working as a Senior Strategic Account Manager at Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2018, they held the position of Senior Technical Specialist at KAUST. Their earlier experience includes working as a Research Technician at Beijing Genomics Institute, Shenzhen from 2010 to 2015.

海王 obtained a Master's degree in Genome Sciences/Genomics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where they studied from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Shenyang Agricultural University, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Fair and Effective Interviewing for Diversity and Inclusion from LinkedIn in November 2022.
