Rob Harbert

Rob Harbert is a Field Application Scientist in Bioinformatics at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, a position held since February 2024. Previously, Rob served as a Bioinformatics Scientist at PhenomeX from June 2022 to January 2024, and as a Visiting Scientist and Gerstner Scholar in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at the American Museum of Natural History from July 2016 to December 2022. Rob's experience also includes a role as Sr. Specialist in Genomic Data Science at PharmaLex (formerly BioStat Solutions) from July 2021 to June 2022 and an Assistant Professorship in Biology & Bioinformatics at Stonehill College from July 2018 to July 2021. Rob holds a Ph.D. in Plant Biology from Cornell University (2011-2016) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Roanoke College (2007-2011).
