Simon Hazelwood-Smith

Simon Hazelwood-Smith has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as Director of User Experience at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where they began in March 2023. Before that, they worked as an Associate Director of UX and a Principal UX Designer at the same company. Prior to their time at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Simon was a Lead User Experience Designer at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. from February 2019 to June 2021. Simon also worked as a Researcher/Designer at Science Practice from September 2015 to January 2019. Simon Hazelwood-Smith completed their Bachelor of Science (BSC) degree in Biological Sciences (Genetics) at the University of Birmingham from 2008 to 2011. Later, they pursued a Master's Degree (MSc) in Science and Technology Policy at the University of Sussex from 2014 to 2015.
