Stephen Rudd

Director, Bioinformatics Product at Oxford Nanopore Technologies

Stephen Rudd has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and genomics. Stephen has worked as a Director and Product Manager at Oxford Nanopore Technologies, where they played a key role in developing bioinformatics products. Prior to that, they worked as a Strategic Account Manager and Market Development Manager at the same company.

Stephen has also worked as an Adjunct Professor and Senior Scientist at the University of Turku, where they focused on plant genomics and established a research group. Stephen Rudd completed their BSc in Genetics at the University of Nottingham from 1993 to 1996. Stephen then pursued a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology at the University of East Anglia from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Stephen has obtained several certifications including "Rust Essential Training" in January 2023, "Learning Ansible" in April 2021, and "Learning Kubernetes" in April 2021, all from LinkedIn.
