Ellie Claughton serves as the Executive Director of Improbable Theatre since July 2023, a leading organization in improvisational and emergent practices. Claughton holds a Trustee position at Oxford Playhouse and is Chair Of Trustees for Zoo Co Theatre Company, which focuses on inclusive and engaging productions. Previously, Claughton had roles such as Executive Director (Maternity Cover) at BOUNDLESS THEATRE, Co Director at Barrel Organ Theatre, and various producing positions at LUNG and Paines Plough. Claughton's commitment to female-led projects is reflected in the role of Chair of the Trustees at SHE PRODUCTIONS LTD. An educator as well, Claughton served as a Tutor in Creative Producing at CGO Institute. Academic qualifications include an MA in Creative Producing from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and a BA in Literature from Newcastle University.
