Sean O'Leary

Team Lead - Research & Evidence Practice at Oxford Policy Management

Sean O'Leary has a diverse range of work experience in various research and analysis roles. Sean started their career as an Assistant Research Officer at the National Care Homes Association in 2003. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as an Agricultural Programme Officer at the Ministry of Agriculture in Guyana, where they conducted economic analysis and provided assistance in project formulation for FAO sponsored projects.

In 2007, Sean joined Euromonitor International as a Research Assistant before moving on to Oxford Policy Management in 2008, where they worked as a Research Assistant and later as a Tutor at Trinity College, University of Oxford.

In 2010, Sean joined the Centre for Study of African Economies, University of Oxford as a Research Associate. In this role, they supervised a team of enumerators conducting a household survey in Ghana and used Stata and Pocket Survey for data cleaning, analysis, and survey generation.

Later in 2010, Sean returned to Oxford Policy Management, this time as a Team Lead in the Research & Evidence Practice.

Sean O'Leary has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from UCL, which they earned from 2000 to 2003. Sean then pursued a Master of Science degree in the Economics of Development from the University of Oxford, completing it from 2003 to 2004. Lastly, they pursued a DPhil in Economics at the University of Oxford from 2007 to 2010, but did not complete the program.
