Dean Shapiro serves as the Global Head of Development at Oxford Properties Group since March 2011, overseeing the global development business, which constitutes approximately 15% of the firm's portfolio. Previously, Dean held roles such as Head of Strategic Partnerships, focusing on third-party capital relationships, and SVP Investments/Head of US Development, where responsibilities included the investment in the Hudson Yards project. Prior to Oxford, Dean was the Chief Operating Officer & Partner at Building & Land Technology, contributing to the development of Harbor Point in Stamford, Connecticut. Dean's extensive experience in real estate began at CB Richard Ellis, where notable achievements included leading transactions and operations in the NYC market. Dean's educational background includes an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University, and executive education from Harvard Business School and the London Business School.
