Carys Alty

Carys Alty is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public policy and community safety. Currently serving as the Head of Migration Policy and Partnerships at Oxfordshire County Council since October 2011, Carys leads the Homes for Ukraine programme and oversees broader migration policies. Previous roles include Prevention Manager at Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, where key contributions involved enhancing community safety and youth education, and Senior Policy Officer managing the Safer Oxfordshire Partnership to combat crime and anti-social behavior. Carys also has a strong background in research and analytics from previous positions at Shared Intelligence, GONW, Communities & Local Government, and TNS. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Socio-Economics from the University of Bradford, a Master's in Urban Development from the University of Strathclyde, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with Computing from the University of Lancashire.
