Operations Manager at Oxide Computer Company

Daniel Sutter has diverse work experience, spanning a range of industries and roles. Daniel began their career in 2008 as a Continuous Improvement Co-op at Harley-Davidson Motor Company. In 2010, they joined General Electric (GE) as an Operation Management Leadership Program (OMLP) Associate, where they completed a two-year rotational program focused on leadership and skills development in Manufacturing Shop Operations, Sourcing/Materials, and Technical roles such as Lean Leader and Quality Management.

In 2012, Sutter was promoted to Product Quality Engineer at GE Power & Water, overseeing quality assurance functions for $1.2 billion of gas turbine product lines. Daniel then moved to GE Oil & Gas in 2014 to lead material planning and production scheduling for GE deepwater BOP drilling assemblies.

In 2015, Sutter transitioned to GE Aviation as a Lean Leader / Black Belt, where they helped implement the Toyota Production System and Brilliant Factory initiatives. Daniel also served as a Quality Analytics Leader, using a greenplum data warehouse to analyze nonconformance and first time yield data and as a Lean Analytics Leader, where they built an app to visualize top waste opportunities across the GE supply chain. Sutter also led a BB project focused on reducing inventory components of high $ GEnx programs using insights from Lean Analytics.

In 2018, Sutter moved to Procter & Gamble (P&G) as a Senior IT Manager, overseeing Materials Management and Process Improvement. Daniel was responsible for driving process improvement through P&G's Network Services organization during the transition from Managed Network Service agreement to internal design and oversight. Sutter also led IT Network EDGE Hardware Refresh, a $100M inventory spend transitioned from procurement per site to fulfillment from inventory, which minimized project cycle times. Daniel managed fulfillment, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and quality control.

Sutter has recently joined Oxide Computer Company as an Operations Manager in 2021.

Daniel Sutter received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2005 to 2010. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University between 2015 and 2017. Daniel holds several certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from GE Aviation (2017), Apollo Root Cause Analysis from GE Power & Water (2013), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from GE Power & Water (2011), Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) from Cisco (2021), Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) from Cisco (2019), and Manufacturing Planning and Control Systems from GE Power & Water. It is unknown when they obtained the latter certification.
