Ed Ognibene

Ed Ognibene is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and driving innovation in technology. Currently serving as the Sr. Vice President of Engineering at Oxipital AI, Ed oversees a multifunctional team focused on AI-enabled machine vision solutions. As the Founder of LIGHTSPECTRO™ Technologies, LLC, Ed defines company strategy and user-centered design initiatives. Previous roles include Vice President of Engineering at Covaris, where Ed advanced automation in laboratory workflows, and Senior Director of Engineering at QinetiQ US, where Ed led a large cross-functional team to improve operational functions. Ed's career also includes serving as Vice President of R&D at Rapid Micro Biosystems, focusing on robotics and systems engineering. Ed earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Technology Leadership & Innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
