John Marangola

John Marangola is a Machine Learning Scientist at Oxipital AI since May 2022, where significant contributions include the development of suction picking systems and the design of advanced computer vision algorithms that enhanced grasp optimality and accuracy in object manipulation. Prior to this role, John held various engineering positions focused on computer vision. At Boston College, where John pursued a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Computer Science, research efforts involved collaboration with Professor José Bento on phylogenetic inference models and the development of a novel machine learning algorithm for biological data. Additionally, work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Zeljkovic Lab resulted in co-authorship of a publication in Nature and the creation of a distributed algorithm for theoretical results in quantum materials.
