Emre Timurkan

Emre Timurkan currently serves as Group President of the Finance Sector at OYAK since January 2018, overseeing multiple entities including OYAK Anker Bank in Frankfurt and OYAK Securities in Istanbul. Timurkan held a significant role as a Member of the Executive Committee at Almatis from August 2017 to May 2022 and was the CEO of Timurkan Capital, a multi-family office, from April 2011 to August 2017. Prior leadership positions include Chairman and CEO at AFB Bank and Chairman at AZSIĞORTA ASC from 2009 to 2011, as well as Director at Citi from 2004 to 2009, where responsibilities included leading fixed income, currency, and commodities in Turkey and surrounding regions. Earlier experience includes partnership at Georgetown Advisors and senior roles at Garanti BBVA. Timurkan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Georgetown University.
