Carly DeFilippo is a branding and creative strategist with over a decade of professional experience in various roles. Carly co-founded Cognoscenti Creative, a boutique branding agency that offers graphic design, photography, copywriting, and brand strategy services to a range of clients. Carly has also worked as a brand strategist and copywriter at Oyster Sunday, where they developed core brand messaging and provided strategic direction for marketing materials.

Prior to that, Carly served as the Director of Brand Creative at W&P Design, where they provided creative direction for digital, print, and social content, and served as the lead copywriter for B2B and B2C communications. Carly also worked as the Content and Publicity Manager at The Dinex Group, where they consulted on brand messaging and harnessed the storytelling potential of chefs and hospitality professionals.

Carly's earlier experience includes roles such as Social Media and Content Manager at the Institute of Culinary Education, Social Media Manager for Sofar Sounds, and Blog Editor/Copyeditor at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Carly also has experience in event coordination from their time at Columbia University and an internship at UNESCO.

Carly DeFilippo has a diverse education history. Carly completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in French, with a focus on Music and Art History, at Boston College from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in French Cultural Studies at Columbia University from 2009 to 2010.

In 2011 to 2012, Carly obtained a Certificate in Holistic Health from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Additionally, in 2012, they acquired the Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC) certification from the same institution.

Carly continued to expand their knowledge and skills by attending the Institute of Culinary Education in 2014, where they received a Diploma in Culinary Arts/Chef Training. Carly also engaged in further studies with a focus on Food Studies at the Université Paris-Sorbonne from 2009 to 2010.

In 2012, Carly enrolled in a program at The New School, specializing in Writing for New York City Newspapers & Magazines.
