Bayram Artun

Bayram Artun, MSc, is a seasoned professional in the mining and geological fields with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Mining Coordinator and Mining Director at Özaltın Holding since January 2021, Bayram Artun previously held the position of Mineral Exploration Geologist from March 2020 to January 2021. Prior to this, a significant tenure at Teck Resources Limited from April 1991 to March 2020 included roles as Senior Geologist, where responsibilities encompassed managing copper, gold, and zinc opportunity evaluations across Eastern Europe, Turkey, and the Caucasus, as well as overseeing various exploration projects in Western Turkey. Earlier experience includes roles as Senior Project Geologist, Project Geologist, and Exploration Geologist, culminating in expertise in target generation, project evaluation, community relations, and environmental studies. Bayram Artun’s educational background includes a Master's degree in Mineral Exploration from Queen's University and a Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
