Dave Emnett is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations and finance within the entrepreneurial and technology sectors. As Co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of Oze since April 2018, Dave plays a crucial role in digitizing African small businesses through an innovative app designed to assist with sales, expenses, and customer information management. In addition, Dave serves as Chief Financial Officer for Dare to Innovate, a youth-led initiative focused on reducing unemployment in West Africa by fostering the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Previous roles include mentoring at Founder Institute and holding multiple directorial positions in marketing across various companies. Dave's academic credentials include an MBA in Business Analytics and Marketing from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Business Management from Drury University.

Oze is a platform that equips small business owners in Africa to make data-driven decisions to improve their performance, tap into networks, and access capital. Oze’s platform is comprised of two components. On one side is an mobile app for a small business owners that aggregates and analyzes transaction data to push context-specific recommendations and reports. On the other side is a portal for financial institutions that combines the app’s crowdsourced data with alternative data sources to assign a credit risk score to each Oze user. Through the portal, banks can source and support a small-business loan portfolio.
