Mert Berkman has a diverse background in engineering and simulation. Mert worked as a Sr Application Engineer at Ozen Engineering, Inc. from November 2019 onwards, where they provided consulting services and developed custom analytical models in various technological fields.

Prior to that, Mert worked at GE Power for over 15 years, starting in June 2004 as a Sr. Engineer. In this role, they focused on designing combustion systems and components, performing durability analysis and prediction, and modeling turbulent reacting flow.

Mert then pursued a Master of Science degree at the same institution from 1991 to 1993. Mert further expanded their knowledge by completing a Master of Science degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1993 to 1994. Mert continued their academic journey and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Mert Berkman has also obtained certification in various specialized areas. Mert has an Ansys Associate Certification in the Basics of Fluid Dynamics, which they achieved in January 2023. Mert has also completed a course on Partially Premixed Combustion offered by Ansys in the same month and year.
