Roger Tan

Roger Tan has a wealth of experience in the tech industry. Roger began their career in 1999 as a Computer Programming Intern at the Rockwell Science Center. In 2001, they became a Quality Assurance Intern at Citibank Development Center. In 2002, they were a Software Development Engineer Intern at Microsoft. Roger then returned to Microsoft in 2003 as a Software Development Engineer 2, and later a Software Development Engineer in Test. In 2012, they became an Independent Contractor, and a Software Developer at Vamo (acquired by Airbnb) in 2013. In 2015, they joined Airbnb as an Engineering Manager, where they architected and led a multi-year effort to migrate to Service Oriented Architecture while modernizing the user experience. In 2022, they joined Ozette Technologies as a Software Engineer.

Roger Tan attended University of California, Berkeley from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Roger then attended University of Washington from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering.
