Bob Belt has worked in the software engineering industry since 1985. Bob began their career at Micrograms as a Lead Programmer and Programmer, where they developed a compression system for graphics and text, and a disk loader for the Apple II in 6502 assembly language. Bob also was a primary programmer for Mathosaurs and led the software development of Wild West Math.

In 1994, Bob Belt joined Atari as a Senior Software Engineer and Lead Programmer, where they were Lead programmer on the fighting games Vicious Circle, Juko Thread, and Tenth Degree and the Driving Shooting Game Mean Streak.

Bob Belt then moved to Midway in 1994 as a Senior Software Engineer and Lead Programmer. During this time, they worked on Skins Game Golf, built a J2ME and BREW cell phone game, and was lead combat programmer for Gladiator.

In 2005, Bob Belt joined Seven Studios as a Senior Software Engineer and Lead Programmer. Bob worked on the Sopranos, Fantastic Four 2 - Rise of the Sliver Surfer, Fun Park, and Space Camp. For these projects, they created a Combat/Character Control system and AI system that was used by designers, artists, and programmers.

In 2011, Bob Belt joined Zya as a Software Engineering Manager and Ditty Video Lead. Bob was the lead of the Lyric Video System for the Appy award winning Ditty, and they architected the system leveraging existing technology when practical.

Finally, in 2016, Bob Belt joined Evollve Inc., makers of Ozobot, as a Senior Software Engineer. Originally hired as a Unity programmer, they were the primary UI programmer and gameplay programmer for the Evo app for iOS and Android. Later, they developed software in C using the Mynewt operating system and Javascript to allow an inexpensive BLE dongle to connect to 18+ robots and be managed and monitored with a web browser using a web bluetooth connection.

Bob Belt earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Electronic Media and Painting from the University of Illinois Chicago in 1994.
