Dale McMullin

Dale is an accomplished technology leader with a track record for growing businesses that provide integrated solutions for exploration and production companies. As Chief Technology Officer at P2, he drives technology and solution strategy – helping upstream oil and gas companies around the globe optimize business performance.

Dale brings to P2 a wealth of knowledge around upstream oil and gas software and experience developing evolutionary technology strategies. In addition, he has broad global experience leading development and product management teams through significant organic and inorganic growth, as well as the coordination and changes required in that environment.

With over 25 years in the technology industry and 20 of them spent focused on the energy sector, Dale joins P2 from one of the largest providers of product and services in the upstream oil and gas industry where he served as the Global Head of Research & Development of the software division. Prior to that, he held executive leadership positions at a commercial planning and enterprise operations software provider, as well as within the digital software division of a leading oilfield services company. In addition to technology leadership, Dale also brings “hands on” field and engineering expertise in directional drilling, completions, and production facilities to P2.

Dale holds a PhD in Computer Science from Colorado School of Mines, a Masters in Computer Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family traveling, boating, and playing golf. Dale’s personal hobbies include tinkering with tech and dabbling in the visual arts.
