Nicolas Francia

Nicolas Francia has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and network operations. Nicolas is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Paack since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Head of Network Operations and Cloud Architecture at the same company since November 2021. Before joining Paack, Nicolas worked as a Senior Network System Engineer at Paack, where they were responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting the global network infrastructure. Nicolas collaborated with multiple teams to optimize applications and their network needs and ensured the reliability, availability, and performance of the network. Nicolas also led troubleshooting in a high-performance wired and wireless hybrid network environment.

Before Paack, Nicolas worked as a Senior Network & Security Architect at Odigo from February 2020 to March 2021. Nicolas also served as a Service Architect at Prosodie-Capgemini from June 2016 to February 2020. Earlier in their career, Nicolas worked as a Network Engineer at UTE-Transport Network Design and Operation from July 2014 to September 2015. Nicolas also worked at UTE as a Telecommunication Engineer - Internal Auditor from December 2012 to March 2014, where they were responsible for the internal controls and risks of the company's SCADA network. Nicolas played a role in identifying weaknesses in systems, networks, and creating action plans to prevent security breaches. Nicolas started their career as an IT support - Network Manager at Reebok in September 2012.

Nicolas Francia holds a Master's Degree in NFV, SDN & 5G, which they obtained from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they pursued a degree in Ingeniero en Telecomunicaciones from Universidad Católica del Uruguay 'Dámaso Antonio Larranaga' from 2007 to 2012, specializing in Electrical, Electronic, and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician. Additionally, they completed pre-engineering studies at Delta State University from 2005 to 2007. Nicolas has also obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Scrum Foundation Professional Certified (SFPC) from CertiProf in June 2020, and certifications in Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals, Networking in GCP, and Networking in Google Cloud Platform Specialization from Coursera in July 2019.
