Alison Bakken is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and strategic roles, currently serving as Vice President of the Board at PACER Center since September 2006. At Thomson Reuters, where Alison worked from September 2002 to December 2022, key positions included SVP and Head of Strategic Resourcing, focusing on enhancing employee experience, as well as SVP and Global Head of the CTO Program Office, overseeing significant enterprise programs and leading a major technology separation effort. Additional roles encompassed responsibility for technology strategy, portfolio management, and project management with considerable financial oversight. Alison holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of St. Thomas and a BA from St. Olaf College.

PACER's mission is to improve educational opportunities and enhance the quality of life for children and young adults with disabilities and their families. Our vision is that children and young adults with disabilities and their families have access to resources and equitable opportunities to be successful and valued members of their community. Founded in 1977, PACER Center was created by parents of children and youth with disabilities to help other parents and families facing similar challenges. PACER is staffed primarily by parents of children with disabilities and works in coalition with other disability organizations.
