Dan Nasko

Dan Nasko is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at PacBio since January 2022, having previously held positions as Bioinformatics Scientist II and Senior Data Scientist at Novozymes and Biota Technology. With extensive experience in analyzing and processing raw nucleic acid sequencing data from various platforms, Dan Nasko specializes in examining microbial metagenomes to discover novel CRISPR spacers and characterize host-virus interactions. Prior roles include Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Maryland, and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Delaware, where Dan Nasko earned a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. Earlier career experience includes working as a Molecular Associate at Accugenix Inc., focusing on laboratory processing of microbial samples and DNA sequencing techniques.
