Anand Sastry

Anand Sastry is a seasoned bioinformatics and AI scientist with extensive experience in antibody optimization and computational biology. Currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Vir Biotechnology, Inc., Anand's previous role as a Senior AI Scientist at Absci involved leading cross-functional teams to develop AI-driven antibody optimization strategies. Anand has a strong background in machine learning methodologies and data analysis, demonstrated through contributions to important publications and the development of various bioinformatics tools. Anand's academic foundation includes a PhD in Bioengineering from UC San Diego, coupled with significant research experience managing teams and delivering advanced analytical solutions.
