Regional Commercial Lead ANZ at PacBio

James Miller has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. James currently holds the position of Regional Commercial Lead ANZ at PacBio since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Millennium Science where they held various roles including Business Development Manager, Product Manager, and Territory Sales Manager. At Millennium Science, they focused on developing and managing relationships with manufacturer partners, implementing national sales and marketing plans for genomics related product lines, and providing expertise in genomics applications and technology knowledge. Before Millennium Science, James worked at Tasmanian Alkaloids Pty Ltd as a Biotechnologist, managing a poppy biotechnology program aimed at poppy cultivar improvement. James also worked at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) as a Postgraduate student, conducting research on the development of plant-based vaccines. Additionally, James has experience as a Research Officer at Agriculture Victoria, where they provided specialist biotechnology skills across multiple projects related to the development of new apple and pear cultivars, ozone depleting chemicals in agriculture, and molecular diagnostics for plant pathogens and pests.

James Miller received their Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics from Monash University, where they studied from 1991 to 1994. James later pursued their PhD in Plant Biotechnology at QUT (Queensland University of Technology), completing their studies from 1997 to 2001.
