Joan Wilson

Joan Wilson is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in biological sciences, holding a PhD from Stanford University. Currently, Joan has served as a Senior Staff Scientist at Pacific Biosciences since April 2012, specializing in tools for non-coding RNA research and its role in chromatin dynamics. Joan's previous roles include Senior Scientist and Group Leader at Marshall University and the Marshall Institute for Interdisciplinary Research, as well as positions in microRNA research at System Biosciences and product management at Panomics. Early career experiences include roles as a Research Fellow at the Harvard Institute of Proteomics and postdoctoral research at Stanford University, complemented by competitive cycling experiences.
