Luke Esau is a Senior Research Scientist at PacBio since December 2022, focusing on the development and optimization of ONSO short-read library prep assays for high-accuracy sequencing. Prior to PacBio, Luke served as a Staff Research Scientist at KAUST Core Labs from August 2017 to January 2023, where extensive experience in NGS library preparation and single-cell sequencing was gained. Luke's earlier roles include Senior R&D Scientist and R&D Scientist at Roche and KAPA Biosystems, where work involved RNA library preparation kit development. Luke began a research career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at KAUST’s Computational Bioscience Research Center, with foundational experience in molecular assays obtained during a PhD at the University of Cape Town, complemented by undergraduate studies in genetics and biotechnology.
