Peng Zhou

Peng Zhou is a highly experienced scientist specializing in DNA sequencing and organic chemistry. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Pacific Biosciences since October 2017, Peng Zhou focuses on single molecule DNA sequencing. Prior experience includes a tenure as Lead Scientist at AnaSpec from November 2006 to October 2017, where responsibilities encompassed leading the organic chemistry department and optimizing processes for the production of unnatural amino acids and fluorescent dyes. Earlier, as a Senior Scientist at AnaSpec, Peng Zhou designed and synthesized novel fluorescent dyes for biological applications. Academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University and master's and bachelor's degrees in Polymer Chemistry and Chemistry, respectively, from Peking University.
