Lucas Manuelli

Lucas Manuelli is a Senior Staff Research Scientist at Boston Dynamics, contributing to the Atlas Humanoid Robot team with a focus on perception and manipulation since October 2022. Prior to this role, Lucas served as a Robotics Research Scientist at NVIDIA for two years, specializing in topics such as robotics, machine learning, computer vision, 3D perception, self-supervised learning, and visuo-motor policy learning. Earlier experience includes a position as a Robotics Researcher at Amazon Robotics, where Lucas implemented an advanced model-based grasping algorithm. Academically, Lucas holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Robotics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Princeton University.
