PLEASE NOTE: This is a volunteer position as every role at the Pacific Esports League is volunteer.

What is PEL?

The Pacific Esports League is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization founded to help provide more college and career opportunities for high school and college students through their passion for video games. Using esports, we allow students to learn about an entire ecosystem of digital career paths available to them.

To promote our vision, we organize low-cost tournaments and community events for the students of California. During these events, we provide students the resources and experience to develop their broadcasting skills.

Role Description

As a Content Producer for the Pacific Esports League, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing engaging content across various digital platforms. This role involves collaborating with the marketing, media, and public relations teams to produce high-quality content that aligns with our brand’s vision and goals. The ideal candidate is creative, strategic, efficient, and has an interest in the gaming industry (specifically within the Valorant and League of Legends communities).

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a content calendar to ensure timely production and release of content
  • Ideate and create engaging content to be produced across various social media platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.
  • Collaborate with media, marketing, and public relations teams to produce media for various campaigns.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends to ensure content is relevant and impactful.
  • Analyze performance metrics and make recommendations to optimize content for core audience.
  • Engage with the community, including reactions, answering questions, and directing impressions to the company website.

Qualifications (Recommended)

  • Passion and experience for the gaming/esports industry, particularly focused on our main competitive titles, VALORANT and League of Legends.
  • Ability to brainstorm and develop quality content
  • Strong communication and time managing abilities to coordinate filming and editing days with Media/PR Departments.
  • Some video editing experience preferred
  • Located in California preferred
