David Gurney

David Gurney is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Pacific Life Re since December 2010, with responsibilities extending to General Counsel and Head of Risk for Australia and Asia. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Associate at Herbert Smith from September 2005 to December 2010 and as Solicitor at Mallesons Stephen Jaques from March 2002 to August 2005. David Gurney holds an LLB (Hons) and BA (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, earned between 1996 and 2001, and completed VCE at Camberwell Grammar School from 1990 to 1995.
