Sean McCartney

Sean McCartney serves as the Head of Distribution for the Workforce Benefits Division at Pacific Life since March 2024, leading distribution efforts for one of the country’s top-rated insurance companies. Prior to this role, Sean held various leadership positions at Principal Financial Group from May 2002 to March 2024, including Vice President of Specialty Benefits Sales and Account Management, overseeing group sales and account management teams while focusing on strategic plans and profitability. Sean's earlier experience includes multiple vice president roles and a sales executive position at Cigna from August 2000 to April 2002, as well as sales executive roles at Unum/Provident/Paul Revere and Confederation Life Insurance Company. Sean earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Loyola University Chicago.
