Melissa Putman is an accomplished communications leader currently serving as the Communications Leader at Port Blakely since May 2024. With extensive experience in strategic communications and public affairs, Melissa spent nearly a decade at Kaiser Permanente, where roles included Senior Director of Communications, Public Affairs, and Media Relations, as well as Director of External Communications and Government Relations. Melissa demonstrated expertise in enhancing regulatory relationships and directing federal government strategies that supported growth in Medicare and health benefit plans. Prior experience includes managing strategic communications and fundraising for Citizens to Elect Rick Larsen and advocating for public health initiatives at March of Dimes. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business Administration from Western Washington University.
