Allison Campbell

Allison Campbell serves as the Associate Laboratory Director for Earth and Biological Sciences at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) since 2016, where responsibilities include setting the scientific vision for the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL). Campbell has held various key positions at PNNL since 1990, including Deputy Director for EMSL, where management of the facility's operations and over 100 scientific instruments was a focus, and Technical Group Leader for Materials Synthesis and Modification, overseeing technical staff while engaging in independent research. Previous experience includes a role as a Research Scientist, contributing to materials development research supported by NIH and BES, and as an Invited Researcher at the Max Planck Institute in 1994, providing instruction on biomimetic processes. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from Buffalo State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Gettysburg College.
