Lysel Garavelli is a Research Scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) since August 2017, previously holding the position of Postdoctoral Research Assistant. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Florida Atlantic University from July 2014 to July 2017 and a PhD in Biological Oceanography obtained from Pierre and Marie Curie University and Universidad Católica del Norte from 2010 to 2013. Research contributions encompass modeling population dynamics of the marine gastropod Concholepas concholepas in Chile, as well as studies on larval dispersal and spatio-temporal variability of marine species in various locations. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Oceanography and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Environment, both from the Mediterranean Institute of Oceanography.
