Peter Hui

Peter Hui is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience in research computing and software engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since February 2023, Peter previously worked as a Senior Research SDE at Microsoft, focusing on AI and NLP features for chatbots. Prior roles include significant contributions as a Senior Software Development Engineer at Egencia, where Peter developed REST-based web services for a corporate travel management platform, and at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory as a Senior Research Scientist in high-performance computing. Peter's early career included roles at Allstate and Motorola, where Peter led development teams and worked on client-server applications and cellular network software. Peter holds a PhD in Computer Science from DePaul University, along with an MS and BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
