Rituparna Sinha Roy

Rituparna Sinha Roy, Ph.D., currently serves as a Staff Scientist at Pacific Northwest Research Institute since January 2023. Previously, Rituparna was a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas Woman's University from August 2015 to December 2022, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of cellular defense against ultraviolet light, and also functioned as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, instructing students in microbiology labs and assisting with laboratory experiments and assessments. Notable experiences include serving as a Discussion Leader and poster presenter at Gordon Research Conferences in November 2021, an internship in the Infectious Diseases Lab at HealthTrackRx where RT-PCR assays were utilized for SARS-COV-2 testing from June to August 2020, and presenting research at the Stowers Institute for Medical Research in October 2019. Rituparna holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Texas Woman's University, a Master of Science in Microbiology from Lady Brabourne College in India, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Calcutta.
