Jim Cummings

Jim Cummings has extensive experience in the maritime and defense industries, currently serving as a Project Estimator at Pacific Shipyards International, LLC since July 2019. Cummings has held a long-term position at BAE Systems Hawaii Shipyards since May 2006, managing government-leased facilities at Pearl Harbor Navy Shipyard in the Business Development Department. Previous roles include various management positions with Pacific Marine & Supply Company from May 1987 to November 2006, starting as Captain of the SWATH vessel NAVATEK I. Cummings also worked at SEACO, Ltd from May 1979 to May 1987 as an Electronics Technician and Craftmaster, and served in the US Navy from January 1968 to May 1975 as a Sonar Technician on nuclear submarines. Cummings holds a Master Mariner License from Vancouver Maritime Academy and has undergone technical training in Electronics and Sonar through US Navy Tech Schools.
