Derek Jackson

Derek Jackson has a diverse work experience spanning several pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Derek currently holds the position of Vice President, Cell & Gene Therapy Product Development at Pacira BioSciences, Inc. Prior to this, Derek worked at Flexion Therapeutics, where they held various roles including Vice President, Product Development, Sr. Director, Pharmaceutical Development, Director, and Associate Director. Before joining Flexion Therapeutics, they worked as a Sr. Scientist I at Cubist Pharmaceuticals and as a Staff Scientist at Alkermes. Derek also has experience working at TransForm Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Scientist and at Pfizer Global R&D as a Senior Scientist. Derek started their career as a Chemist III at Magellan Laboratories.

Derek Jackson obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Chemistry from William & Mary, completing their education from 1990 to 1996.
