Peter Murphy

Peter Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Peter currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at TELA Bio since 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Inc. starting from 2014, where they held various roles including VP Sales, US; Area Sales Director, Eastern US; and Regional Business Director, Northeast. Before Pacira, they served as an Area Sales Director at Biomimetic Therapeutics from 2011 to 2013. Peter also worked at Medtronic Spine & Biologics as the U.S. Director of Sales and Business Development, Trauma from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, Peter held positions at Stryker as a Director Of Sales and Regional Sales Manager from 2004 to 2007, and as a Sales Representative from 1996 to 2002. Peter began their career as a Sales Representative at GlaxoSmithKline in 1995 and worked as a National Broadcast Negotiator at TeleVest from 1994 to 1995.

Peter Murphy completed their high school education at Canterbury School from 1987 to 1990, with a concentration in Business. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business at Gettysburg College from 1990 to 1994.
