Rac Marie Murtagh

Marie Murtagh has extensive experience in regulatory affairs and compliance. Marie began their career at Eisai in 2004 as a Senior Regulatory Associate, managing the publishing and submission of regulatory documents.

In 2010, Marie joined Strativa Pharmaceuticals as a Manager of Regulatory Operations, where they independently tracked, assembled, and dispatched regulatory submissions. Marie also reviewed CRC materials and monitored warning letters, providing communication to the team summarizing activity.

Marie then moved to Phibro Animal Health in 2014 as an Associate Manager of Regulatory Affairs. Their responsibilities included updating the Global Registration Database, preparing financial reports, and compiling and maintaining international dossiers.

From 2017 to 2019, Marie worked as a Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs at Pacira BioSciences, where they were responsible for regulatory compliance. Marie served as the chair of the Public Communications Review Committee, ensuring conformance with FDA regulations. Marie also administered the Veeva Vault System for reviewing and archiving materials.

In 2019, they were promoted to Associate Director of Regulatory Compliance at Pacira BioSciences. In this role, they monitored and disseminated information on the US regulatory and legal environment related to advertising and promotional review. Marie also oversaw the administration of the Veeva Vault System.

Currently, Marie is the Director of Regulatory Systems, Operations, and Promotion at Pacira BioSciences, a position they have held since 2022. Marie provides strong leadership in driving ongoing transformation and improvement within the regulatory affairs department. Marie ensures the implementation, validation, and maintenance of regulatory information tools and systems. Marie has also focused on training and onboarding initiatives for new team members.

Marie Murtagh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Saint Peter's University, which they obtained from 1986 to 1990. In terms of additional certifications, they achieved the Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC-US) from the Regulatory Affairs Certification Program in November 2010. Marie also completed the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2021. Additionally, they have obtained several online certifications, including "Asserting Yourself, an Empowered Choice" from LinkedIn in March 2020 and "Learning to Be Assertive" from LinkedIn in October 2019. Most recently, in 2023, Marie received a Certificate in Women in Leadership from Cornell University, specializing in the field of Leadership.
