Jason Stange

Jason Stange has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Jason is currently working as a Senior Space Systems Engineer at Packet Digital, LLC, where they conduct research and development of power management electronics for small solar-powered spacecraft. Jason'sresponsibilities include working with stakeholders for requirements capture, reliability analysis, system architecture design, and program documentation.

Prior to this, Jason worked at Southwest Research Institute from 2011 to 2021, starting as a Student Engineer and progressing to roles such as Engineer, Research Engineer, and finally Senior Research Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for mixed (analog/digital) circuit design, simulation, testing, and integration. Jason also worked on PCB layout and troubleshooting circuit/system issues.

Before their time at Southwest Research Institute, Jason served in the United States Air Force as a Satellite Communications Technician from 2003 to 2008. In this role, they learned and qualified on two satellite communication systems, trained junior technicians, and maintained secure communication links between airborne platforms and ground systems.

Jason Stange attended The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Jason then furthered their education at the same institution from 2015 to 2020, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering.
