Ahren Stevens-Taylor has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and cybersecurity. Ahren started their career in 2013 as a Security Research Intern at the BBC. In 2014, they worked as a Junior Security Consultant and later as a Summer Research Intern at MWR InfoSecurity. In 2016, they joined Nettitude Group as a Graduate Penetration Tester.

In the same year, Ahren also became the Head of Research and Development at OmniCyber Security, a startup cybersecurity consultancy. Ahren was responsible for implementing SIEM tools, providing penetration testing, and offering specialized security consultancy services to SMEs.

In 2018, Ahren joined Packt as a Network and Security Manager and later took on roles such as Network, Security and Cloud Manager, Head of IT Security and Network, and Solutions Engineering Squad Lead. Ahren'slatest position at Packt is the Head of Engineering, which they assumed in March 2023.

Throughout their career, Ahren has gained expertise in cybersecurity, network management, and engineering, contributing to the growth and development of the organizations they have worked for.

Ahren Stevens-Taylor attended Coventry University from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a BSc degree in Ethical Hacking and Network Security. In November 2016, they also obtained the Crest Practitioner Security Analyst certification from CREST.
