Sam Thornton

Sam Thornton has a diverse work experience, starting from 2008 as a Site Support/Receptionist at Humberside Probation Trust. From there, they worked as a Content Author at Shop Direct Group in 2012, and as a Developer at Nixon Design from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, Sam became a Web Manager at The Dash Group, where they managed a large collection of ecommerce and brochure websites. In 2016, they joined Keyzo IT Solutions Ltd as a Development Manager, leading a team in executing sales strategies and determining technical specifications. From 2018 to 2020, Sam worked as a Development Team Manager at Go Green Ltd, providing leadership and guidance to a team of software developers and IT support staff. In 2020, they joined Packt as a Platform Squad Team Lead. Sam then moved on to work as a Web Manager at Scottsdale Golf from 2022 to 2023. Currently, Sam holds the position of Head of Software Engineering at Packt since 2023.

From 2002 to 2007, Sam Thornton attended High Ridge Specialist Sports College. During this time, Sam studied English, Physical Education, Maths, BTEC Sport, and Science.
