FREDERICK BERRY

Frederick Berry has extensive work experience in the marine engineering field. FREDERICK is currently working as a Senior Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineer at PacMar Technologies. Prior to this, they served as an Acting Site Director at the same company. Frederick also worked as a Mobile Application Engineer at Brunswick Boat Group, where they provided integrated electrical system design and support for mobile applications.

Before joining PacMar Technologies and Brunswick Boat Group, Frederick held a role as a Senior Engineer at The Hinckley Company for nine years. During their time there, they filled various roles in the engineering department and was involved in the team development of the Jetstick maneuvering system. FREDERICK also worked as a Senior Marine Engineer at Burger Boat Company, where they were responsible for mechanical system design for large yachts.

Frederick has also been involved in the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) as a Technical Board Member. In addition, they served in the US Navy Reserve as a Commissioned Officer, reaching the rank of O3, before being honorably discharged.

Earlier in their career, Frederick worked as a Marine Technician at Lyman Morse Boatbuilding, where they performed mechanical service and refit on yachts. FREDERICK also worked as a Third Assistant Engineer aboard a Teconite ore carrier for Litton Industries / MEBA Dist 1-PCD (AFL-CIO). Additionally, they worked briefly as a Steam Plant Engineer at The Jackson Laboratory.

Overall, Frederick Berry has demonstrated expertise in marine engineering, mechanical and electrical design, and yacht system integration throughout their career.

Frederick Berry earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marine Engineering from Maine Maritime Academy, where they attended from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification as a Registered Maine Guide for Sea Kayaking from the State of Maine DIFW in June 2013 and also became a Marine Electrical Technician certified by the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) in May 2020.
