Giovanni Cinà

Research Lead at Pacmed Labs at Pacmed

Giovanni Cinà has a diverse work experience in various fields. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as an editor for Rivista Italiana di Filosofia Analitica Junior. In 2011, they were a research assistant at Bill Emmott, focusing on research papers related to Italian politics. From 2013 to 2017, they were a PhD candidate at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation, where they published four research papers and gave 26 talks at international conferences, workshops, and seminars. In 2017, they became a data scientist at Pacmed, and later served as the research lead at Pacmed Labs from 2020 to 2023. Giovanni also worked as an AI specialist at Pacmed starting in 2023. In 2021, they became an assistant professor in Responsible Medical AI at UvA, and in 2022, they joined Amsterdam UMC as an assistant professor in the Medical Informatics department.

Giovanni Cinà's education history is as follows:

From 2013 to 2017, they attended the University of Amsterdam, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Mathematical Logic.

Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, they also studied at the University of Amsterdam and earned a Master's degree in Logic.

In 2010 and 2011, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Philosophy of Science.

From 2007 to 2010, Giovanni studied at Università degli Studi di Milano, where they completed a Laurea Triennale in Filosofia (Undergraduate Degree in Philosophy).

In terms of certifications, they obtained several additional qualifications. In November 2017, they completed courses in Machine Learning and Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera. Additionally, in June 2013, they completed a course called "An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python" from the same institution.
