Hidde Hovenkamp has a diverse work experience. Hidde started their career as an Intern Micro-Finance at GPower NGO in 2011, followed by a role as a Teacher of Economics at Stichting Studiebegeleiding Leiden from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, they worked on a research project at APG. From 2014 to 2015, Hidde had multiple roles at De Nationale DenkTank, where they were involved in recruitment and selection as well as participating in the ThinkTank. Hidde then joined RiskQuest as a Junior Risk Analyst for a brief period from March to July 2014. In 2012, they became a Data Science Consultant at MIcompany, where they worked on various projects involving predictive modeling and analyzing customer needs for different organizations. Currently, Hidde is the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Pacmed, a company that develops decision support software using advanced machine learning algorithms to improve healthcare systems.

Hidde Hovenkamp's education history begins in 2003 when they attended Het Nieuwe Lyceum for their VWO degree. From 2009 to 2012, they pursued a BA (Honours) degree in Economics, Mathematics & Statistics at University College Utrecht. In 2012, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for a Summer School program focused on Advanced Econometrics. Hidde then went on to attend Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2013 to 2015 for an MSc (Honours) degree in Quantitative Finance, followed by another MSc degree in Econometrics.
