Regina Célia Barbosa

Regina Célia Barbosa is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in education, human rights advocacy, and public policy. As a co-founder and Vice President of Instituto Maria da Penha since July 2009, Regina also serves as the Director of Pedagogy and Projects at the Recife branch. Regina holds advisory positions with Pacto Global da ONU and Visão Mundial, focusing on race and women's human rights issues. In academia, Regina teaches various subjects, including Legal Philosophy and Human Rights, at multiple institutions, such as Laureate Education, Faculdade Metropolitana da Grande Recife, and FATIN. Regina briefly served as the Secretary for Women in Pernambuco, managing public policies for women, and has held project management roles addressing violence against women and breast cancer at Instituto Avon. Regina Célia Barbosa holds a Bachelor's and Teaching Degree in Philosophy and a Master's in Political Science from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
