Vitalii Lakusta

Vitalii Lakusta is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in various companies. Vitalii is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Pactum AI since April 2023.

Prior to that, they worked at Better Medicine, where they held multiple roles. Vitalii started as a Technical Advisor in March 2023 and later became the Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder from October 2021 to March 2023. In this role, they focused on building AI-powered tools for radiologists to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Before joining Better Medicine, Vitalii worked at Starship Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2020 to October 2021. Vitalii developed self-driving robot deliveries and optimized real-time logistics. Vitalii also worked as a Software Engineer from January 2018 to January 2020, where they built backend systems for self-driving delivery robots using GoLang, AWS, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and NodeJS.

Vitalii'scareer began at TransferWise, where they worked as a Software Engineer from August 2015 to December 2017. Vitalii played a key role in kick-starting and building the TransferWise REST API for the Global Partnerships team.

Vitalii Lakusta completed their Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Mathematics and Computer Science at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University from 2012 to 2016. In 2014 and 2015, they pursued an exchange year at Tallinn University, where they studied Human Computer Interaction at the master-level courses. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including Web Application Security from Clarified Security OÜ in May 2021, and completed courses in Robotics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence from Columbia University through edX in 2017. Vitalii also earned a certificate in Machine Learning from Stanford University through Coursera Course Certificates in December 2016.
