Val Kirstine

Val Kirstine has extensive experience in archaeology, currently serving as a Staff Archaeologist at Padre Associates, Inc. since September 2016. Responsibilities include conducting Phase I Intensive Pedestrian Surface Surveys, Phase II Site Testing, and Phase III Excavation/Data Recovery, along with construction monitoring and archaeological research. Notable projects include the Guadalupe Restoration Project in San Luis Obispo County. Previous positions as an Archaeological Field Technician at Provenience Group and Greenwood and Associates involved site testing, documentation, and excavation activities. Kirstine also worked as a Field Archaeologist at Garcia and Associates and held roles at TRC Companies, Inc. and CRM TECH, contributing to various notable projects across California and Arizona. Education was completed at Cuesta College and Moorpark College.
